Welcome to the Ranch!

The Anderson Ranch is a family business, started by Les Anderson. Les comes from a long line of horsemen, including his father Leroy, who was very heavily involved in Pony Chuckwagon and Chariot racing for many years. The Anderson name is very well respected in the horse training world.

Les has been training horses for 35 years and has been trail riding all his life. His two daughters, Krystle and Lacey, have learned Les’ method over the past few years and have joined the family business. Les grew up around horses and raised his family the same way, together they have been training and selling horses for 25 years.

All of the horses are bought as weanling colts and raised at the ranch. Their training process begins as soon as they get to the ranch and, depending on the horse, usually comes to completion when they are 2 years old, when they are ready for selling. Our unique training process has produced some very proven and reliable beginner friendly horses, even at 2 years old. A lot of people that have looked at our horses let the age of our horses deter them, until they come out and take a horse for a ride, then they seem to change their minds. The horses grow up to be well mannered and gentle, they also have great temperaments and are always willing to learn and please. All of our horses are very well taken care of, they are all up to date on all their shots and their hooves are trimmed regularly by Les himself.

We never advertise our horses for sale until they are ready to be sold. We specialize in training our horses mainly for pleasure with some arena work. We have the horses ready to go with no bad habits and ready for the next step that you would like to take them on, whether it be cutting, roping, barrels, dressage, etc. Horses must prove themselves trustworthy before we advertise them for sale, those that are untrustworthy are kept at the ranch for further training.

The horses on the ranch consist mainly of registered and non-registered quarter horses and paints, both mares and geldings. For a complete listing of horses for sale, please see the horses for sale link on the left hand side of this page.
